Good health and wellbeing are essential to a child’s education, development and quality of life. At Unley Primary School we are committed to caring for students and ensuring their needs for support, respect and friendship are met. We are proud of our ongoing efforts to develop supportive relationships and a sense of belonging and inclusion for all students and their families.
At Unley Primary School our priorities in the area of student wellbeing include:
- Teaching children skills for good social and emotional development
- Promoting a positive school community where every voice is valued
- Providing play opportunities to benefit children’s development and wellbeing
- Fostering students’ resilience and growth mindset
- Developing student leadership capacity
- Supporting children who are experiencing difficulties
- Working together with families
When we partner closely with families and the community we are best positioned to support children's wellbeing. We provide our students with a range of wellbeing support networks. We work with a village mentality, that we are all invested in each child. When engaging with a child about their wellbeing; we listen, ask questions and discuss strategies to support them. We communicate professionally between all parties involved.
Your thoughts, perspectives and feedback are always welcome and we encourage you to get in touch with us if you’d like to talk about our wellbeing priorities.
