ICT (Information and Communication Technology) is a strong focus here at Unley Primary School with teachers and students integrating ICT into the teaching and learning on a regular basis. We also recognise the importance of developing students’ 21st Century learning skills through the use of ICT. With technology improving and changing at a rapid rate, focusing on these skills, also known as the 6 Cs, helps to develop lifelong learners that will be equipped for whatever the future will look like. These skills include Communication, Collaboration, Citizenship, Character, Critical Thinking and Creativity. We aim to develop learners who are efficient, effective and responsible users of ICT that have an appreciation of the impact of ICT on their world.
STEM is an approach to learning and development that integrates the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Through STEM, students develop key skills including problem solving, creativity, critical analysis, teamwork, independent thinking, initiative communication and digital literacy.
